3D/4D Ultrasound Complete......

Today we were finally able to see our son!! It was soooo amazing! I feel so much more close with him now that I almost know what he looks like... It was so cool to see him move and feel it at the same time. We were able to see him yawn and swallow and his tongue was moving a mile a minute... He was actually quite uncooperative. He had his hands in front of his face the whole time. The technician was constantly jiggling my belly to try to move him. He would move his hands for a second but put them right back on his face. Oh my god I can't wait for him to be here! Only 12 more weeks until my guess date! I think I'll go a little early so even less if I get my wish!

Midwife appointment update.....

Today I went to The Birth Center for my 28 week appointment (actually 27 weeks and 4 days) and to have my Glucose Challenge Test. I feel pretty lucky because I didn't have to drink the ca-ca glucose solution I've heard so many horrible things about.... Nope, just 16oz. of OJ! I had my blood drawn and will have the results by Friday! No news is good news.. A phone call will mean I have to do the 3 hour Glucose Tolerance Test.. Let's hope for the best.

I was excited when she said that he's already head down.... I know he will probably move in the upcoming weeks but maybe not! When she was feeling around I felt a pretty intense pain in my lower abdomen and she announced that I was having a contraction (pressure wave). WOW! I wish I was prepared for that one....

We have more paperwork to fill out: Birth Certificate Form, Map to the house and Hospital Registration form (just in case). My next appointment is in two weeks and every two weeks from now until about 36 weeks. The every week for me!!

I'm excited to go to the sibling class with Brianna, the breast feeding class and the supplemental birth preparation class all coming up sooooo soon.

If I haven't said it already we are going on Saturday to have the 3D/4D Ultrasound. We are soooooo excited!!

26 Weeks 5 Days

Well to day I'm 26 weeks and 5 days!! I can't believe that it's getting so close to when Jamesen will be here! The other night Melissa was talking (and making really obnoxious turkey gobble noises) to my belly and after she would say something Jamesen would kick her..... It was the coolest thing!! We were both laughing and smiling for the rest of the night. We actually will get to see what he looks like next Saturday April 28th when we go for the 3D/4D ultrasound. We are so excited and are looking forward to sharing the experience with my mom, sister and April. I go on Wednesday for my Glucose Challenge Test and I am a little worried that I might have GD. We'll see.... I'm keeping positive and hoping for the best. After that I start my every 2 week appointments!!! We are done our Hypnobabies classes and are on the maintenance schedule now. It seems to be going well.... Don't know if I'm crazy but I'm Sooooo looking forward to Jamesen's birth!!!

My own human doppler!

Last night Melissa decided that she would see if she could hear Jamesen's heartbeat by listening through my belly. After he kicked her in the face and after she moved around a couple of times.... She could hear his heartbeat loud and clear!! How amazing!!!

25 Weeks and 2 Days....

Not much to say at this point. I have been sick since last Tuesday and It's miserable to be sick and pregnant at the same time. I had an appointment with the midwife (Betsy) last Friday and everything is going really well. My blood pressure was great (117/82), Jamesen's heart rate was 140 and my fundus was measuring 25 cm. Can't ask for better stats than that!! I go back in two weeks for my Glucose Tolerance Test and then I start my every two week appointments.... I can't believe how close it's getting!

Sweet Milanah

Milanah (pictured here with Brianna) sadly left us today.... Melissa took her to our Vet's office around 8:30 PM to be peacefully put to sleep. About a week ago she was diagnosed with pretty pervasive lung cancer and since then her condition as worsened. Today she was barely able to breath even laying down and by this evening she didn't even want to lay down... I'm so thankful for Melissa because I don't think I would be able to hold it together to take her. I loved this dog when no one else did and think I gave her a pretty good last 4 years of life. She truly was one of the sweetest most gentle dogs I've ever met and I'm glad I was able to help her even if it was for a short time. We will all miss her SOOOO much but I'm mostly worried for Faithy.... Faithy was Milanah's best buddy and was always by her side.....

24 Weeks and 4 Days....

Had my endocrinologist appointment today..... (I have Graves Disease) and got yelled at because I'm gaining so much weight.... I don't eat the best but damn... I'm gaining everyday. I've always put weight on very easily.... and then was able to lose it easily.... but I'm not sure how it's going to work with being pregnant. I've estimated that I will have to lose about 100 pounds by the time this baby is born.... Lots of work to do!!

Big Sister Alert!

Tonight I sat down in my trusty recliner and Jamesen started his "nightly" acrobatics... I looked down to my HUGE exposed belly and could see him kick! I called Melissa over and she was surprised that she could see too.... So far I haven't had Brianna feel my belly when he was kicking mostly because I didn't think that she would be patient enough. Tonight we called her over too and she saw him kicking. She put her hand over where she saw him kick and just like clockwork he kicked the hell out of her hand. It was so hard that I could see her hand move out of my peripheral vision. It was so cool and I'm so glad we could all share this great experience.

23 Weeks 3 Days

Don't know why but I usually take my pictures on Tuesdays. I don't feel this big but I know I'm looking monstrous these days (and loving every second of it)! We went to my stepsisters baby shower today and it was so much fun.... I can't wait until mine! Everyone keeps asking me how I feel and if I'm ready... I am so ready!! I want Jamesen to be here in our family so bad and I'm so looking forward to his birthday! Every week I feel more and more confident about birthing with Hypnobabies and just can't wait until that time comes....
